Qualifications
Al Della Porta entered the insurance industry in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1983. In 1985 he returned to Jacksonville to join The Jacksonville Della Porta Agency. In 2004, he became Managing Partner of the Agency. Al has been recognized as one of the leading Sales Managers with John hancock, as well as qualifying for The Million Dollar Round Table, a member of the General Agents and Managers Association (GAMA), the Jacksonville Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (JAIFA), the Financial Planning Association, and GAMA award. He has completed numerous industry management programs, including the Purdue Professional Management Institute in Insurance Marketing Management, and is an instructor for the Agency Management Training Course (AMTC).
Joseph J. Maltese, CFP, ChFC, CLU, LUTCF, joined John Hancock in 1995 after working in the field of human resources and employee benefits. He became a Sales Manager after working as an agent in the small business and family markets. As Brokerage Manager, Joe currently focuses on promoting the sale of John Hancock products by brokers in Florida, Georgia and various other states. Joe is an active member of the Jacksonville Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (JAIFA), the General Agents and Managers Association (GAMA), and The Society of Financial Service Professionals and serves as a board member and committee chair in these organizations. Gregory H. Crance is Site Partner in Auburn, Alabama. Greg is a graduate of Auburn University, Class of 1975. He entered the life insurance industry in 1979 where he established a firm foundation and continues to build on that to this day. Greg is in his 26th year as a Life and Qualifying Member of MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table). He served as President of the Insurance Agent's Advisor Council for 3 years, and President of the National Council of Presidents for 2 years. He has also addressed various associations and groups all over the country, speaking on a multitude of topics related to the industry. Greg currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Benefit Compensation Group, a member of John Hancock Financial Network. Greg currently resides in Auburn, Alabama with his wife, Candy and his daughters, Madison, Mary Claire and Mollee. Greg has two sons, Johnie and Jeremy. They all love family, friends, the outdoors, athletics, and community involvement. Greg is an active member of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, and has been recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for Auburn University. Melanie Crews Williams joined dp Brokerage as a brokerage manager in 2008 after working in her private practice for almost two decades. She began her career working in various positions, including account executive, at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida for over ten years, giving her combined health insurance experience of more than 30 years. Melanie became Vice-President of dp Brokerage in 2010. In her present position, Melanie is responsible for procuring and maintaining all health carrier contracts and relationships as well as managing our Blue Cross/Blue Shield General Agency. Additionally, Melanie contracts and trains agents, and provides customer service for a large group of individual clients and employee benefit groups. Melanie is licensed in Florida to write Life, Health, Disability, Long Term Care, and Annuity products and has been a leader in Northeast Florida in Senior Market product sales.
